Shelf life is specification-dependent

A meaningful shelf-life statement depends on material form, packaging, storage condition and supporting stability information. Do not apply a generic number to every BPC-157 presentation. Ask the supplier to identify the conditions and batch or product specification to which the statement applies.

Primary and secondary packaging

Primary packaging should be compatible with the material and protect against relevant environmental exposure. Confirm vial or container type, closure, unit size and whether secondary protection is supplied. For bulk projects, align packaging with sampling and inventory workflows to reduce repeated opening.

Labels and traceability

Each unit or grouped pack should carry enough information to connect it to the purchase record and COA, including product identity, lot number and relevant storage statement. Repacked units need controlled traceability back to the parent lot.

Inspect packages on receipt, reconcile quantities and record the lot and condition before storage. Temperature instructions should come from the applicable supplier specification. Laboratories should document excursions and seek a quality assessment rather than assuming that appearance alone confirms suitability.
